GENERAL
REVIEW
Sally had been unemployed
for a month when she sought help from R. L. Stevens, having
been downsized by her former employer, a promotional marketing
company. Her career focus was in Human Resources
Management although her education was in Marketing
Communications.
Sally was an
apt student of the RLS process and, immediately after having
launched her search, began to network with many former college
friends and business associates. Her networking contacts
provided her with additional contacts, leading to
informational interviews with key decision makers. it
was, however, another RLS technique that proved to be
effective for Sally. Simultaneously, both she and her
consultant found the Spot Opportunity announcing the
relocation of a promotional marketing firm's corporate
headquarters to the area.
She forwarded
her marketing letter to the contact named in the Spot
Opportunity. "All that persistence
paid off, after eight weeks, including six in-person and two
phone interviews, I have received an offer for my ideal
position. I am so excited as I will be splitting my time
between Human resources and Marketing! Thank you so much
for everything you have done!"
